Ave Maria: England’s Rose

May 4, 7:30 pm; Lakewood Congregational Church

May 5, 4:00 pm; St. Peter Cleveland

The Blessed Virgin Mary has been praised through music more than any other woman in western   history. Our final program presents gems of the early English church by such composers as   Dunstaple, Cornysh, and Fayrfax, alongside more familiar gents like Byrd, Tallis, and Philips. With   Mother’s Day the following weekend, and a celebration of new life in Spring, what better way to   REVIVE our spirits than honoring those who gave us life through some of the greatest choral     music ever written.
