Agnieszka (Aga) Bieniek, a resident of Eastlake, OH and Music Director at St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills, started a new musical initiative to support charitable organizations in Lake County. She organized a Choir of Hope which gathers singers from different churches and organizations in Lake County. This choir will perform Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Noel Church (35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills). The concert will consists of two parts. In the first part, the program will include a variety of compositions of Frederic Chopin and Franz Schubert (including the well-known and so-loved Ave Maria), presented by Robert Sterbank (piano), Dominic Camino, (piano), Amanda Fargo (voice), Matthew Kucmanic (voice), and the Amethyst String Quartet (founder Mary Beth Ions). In the second part of the performance, Choir of Hope and Amethyst String Quartet with guest musicians will present Mass G-Major by Franz Schubert (soloists: Kathy Chuparkoff (soprano), George Chuparkoff (tenor), Paul Hubbard (bass)). This concert is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be collected to support Forbes House – the only Lake County shelter for victims of domestic abuse. You can also donate women’s clothing and shoes (clean and in a good condition) and baby formula for the shelter residents. Donation boxes will be available at St. Noel before and after the concert. This initiative is a great opportunity to spend your Sunday afternoon listening to beautiful music and supporting others in their needs.
