BACH MARATHON

posted Mar 11, 2010 12:09 PM by AGO Admin
Sunday, March 21, 12:30-5:30 pm, Church Of The Covenant, 11205 Euclid Ave. (in University Circle)

While still a little over a week away, we want to highlight our next Cleveland Chapter AGO Co-Sponsored Program, the Bach Marathon at Church of the Covenant, hosted by Covenant's Organist and Music Director, Jonathan Moyer.  Eleven different area organists will be playing during the 5 hours, in this "Come when you can, leave when you must" program.  Download a flyer for this event at the bottom of this article, or at the bottom of the AGO Cleveland home page.

In addition, there will be "Bach's Lunches" available.  Lunches are only $7.00, but should be reserved ahead of time by calling the church at 216-421-0482.  Lunches may be reserved through next Thursday, March 18.  We will send another reminder next Thursday via the Thursday Update.

In addition, the Chapter is asking for your help.  As a co-sponsor of this program, Jonathan has asked if there are any members who could volunteer some time on SATURDAY, March 20, the day before the event itself, to help put together the Bach's Lunches at the church.  They would like to begin doing this Saturday around 1:00, and anyone who is able to volunteer to help out would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, Jonathan has also asked if there are Chapter members who could volunteer to:

-help sell/distribute the Bach's Lunches at the event itself on Sunday, even if you're only able to be there for part of the time.
-"man" a small table of AGO information, for those who may be interested in joining our chapter, or who may simply want to know more about us.

If you can help us with any of the above, contact Jonathan Moyer at Church of the Covenant directly by calling 216-421-0482 or emailing him atjonathanwmoyer@gmail.com.
